I enjoy watching the big name drivers battle it out on the track. I get pumped watching their feats, and even though I can't duplicate their skills, I always have good intentions to *try* and jump further or higher next time I come across that next field approach or race towards a wind blown cornice. Yeah, YOU know the feeling!
This shot is of an unknown driver at the '99 Canterbury Snocross in Shokopee, MN.
Here's Blair Morgan taking the checkered flag during a qualifying heat at Canterbury. Not too flashy for the crowd; but if you remember that weekend, this was the day after he had that incredible mid-air collision with Chris Vincent that sent him to the hospital. It's a wonder he was racing that day at all. He Won the Pro 600 final that evening.
Here's a nice shot of Morgan over the finsh line jump at Canterbry. This was Pro 440 or Pro Open qualifying.
These two shots were taken at the '99 Haydays in Lino Lakes, MN. WSA (World Snocross Association) put on a "sno"cross demo at the north end of the grounds. That was terrific publicity in my opinion, and pretty exciting action. Cat's Tucker Hibbert and Aaron Scheele (these are both Scheele) and Yamaha's Nathan Titus (who was injured for most of the '99 - 2000 race season unfortunately) ran the course. The skip across the pond was to splash some cooling water on the heat exchangers before the racer's demo was finished.
